Tweaking My Ning Network: Black Business Women Online

I’m always working on other people’s websites, but this past weekend I got the urge to give my Ning Network, Black Business Women Online, a serious face lift. Why the change? Remember my blog post, “Tweak Vs Twitter“, in it I talked about why more enterepreneurs need to spend more time tweaking their business and less time obsessing over twitter. I’m usually the first person to take my advice, so I started tweaking my ad placement on BBWO and it paid off, literally.

If you can invest the time into starting a Ning Network with good traffic, it can be an easy and profitable way to make money online (something that I talk about in my eBook: The Easiest Way to Make Your First $1000 Online). In the past, my BBWO Network brought in about 30% of my monthly Adsense Revenue. Now, with a few sweet tweaks, this past month I increased that number to about 50% of my Adsense revenue, which is amazing! I am very close to reaching my goal of $3000 a month (just from Adsense)! For me that means more money, for you that means spending more time making your business better. Focus on those areas that bring in the most money and tweak away until you reach your financial goals!

Of course, the new Ning customizations are about more than money. When you maintain an online business or website, you always have to be on the cutting edge of technology. With the first phase of my network tweaks complete, I’m striving to imrove BBWO for the thousands of Black Business Owners who join the network every day. Contrary to what many ning network creators think, you can’t just put up a network and hope for the best. You have to make your network the best if you want it to grow.
