Top 5 Business Tools and WordPress Blog Plugins

I’ve got blogging on the brain these days. As I work on writing 100 Articles in 100 Days, I’m also working on improving my website’s performance, searchability, and usability too. Here are a few new WordPress plugins I’m using, plus some of my tried and true must-have top tools/business essentials.

Social Sharing Posts

Social Snap is the best WordPress social sharing plugin by allowing you to control how visitors share and view your content. I wasn’t happy with my default theme share buttons, mainly because they didn’t automatically add my blog post images and descriptions to social media shares, so I went searching and discovered Social Snap was the best solution around for driving traffic to your website through social sharing.

Search Engine Optimization

Yoast SEO is a search engine optimization (SEO) plug-in for WordPress. I’ve actually enjoyed using the All In One SEO plugin for years, but I have to admit the Yoast plugin is highly recommended and very popular, I especially like that it offers insight, SEO grading, to show you how your content currently is helping or hurting your posts and pages SEO offering helpful suggestions for potential improvement.

Customer Support and Engagement

Speakpipe allows your website browsers and podcast listeners to send you voice messages (voicemail) right from a browser without any phone calls. I’ve been using this plugin for years and it is so essential to my business as it gives prospects and existing clients a way to communicate with me without spending hours on the phone or spending hundreds of dollars on outsourcing a customer support line.

Appointment Scheduling

Acuity Scheduling is an online appointment scheduling software that gives your clients the ability to easily schedule appointments, pay, and complete intake forms online 24/7 on your website or via standalone appointment booking/calendar scheduling pages. Acuity doesn’t offer a plugin, but you can easily embed your scheduling pages into your website like my call me page, which makes it a top business tool that is definitely worth adding to this list. I’ve been able to successfully sell private calls, classes, coaching packages, and subscription coaching on this platform and I’ve only been using it for a few weeks in place of an older Appointment Scheduling plugin that I have been using for close to ten years! At first, I didn’t want to make the switch because I was so used to the other tool I was using, but the transition has been easy and definitely well worth it.

Tips and Crowdfunding

Buy Me A Coffee is a free, fast, and meaningful way to accept monetary support, tips, and memberships from your fans, clients, and customers. I’ve recently set up my own Buy Me A Coffee page and you can set up your own tip page for fans today for free too. It’s so easy and offers lots of interesting features that I plan to dig into in more detail in the coming weeks. I definitely plan to integrate this into my website and on my social media profile pages and let you know how it goes, once I get it started.

This is just a short list to get this conversation started. Let me know if you have tried any of these plugins, plan to try them, or have any other blog and business web tools that you highly recommend.
