Summertime Business Boosters: 10 Cool Ways to Heat Up Your Website Visibility and Sales

At some point every entrepreneurial woman will find herself getting too comfortable, procrastinating, fighting through frustrations or even struggling with fear. In these moments we find ourselves desperately seeking out different things, new opportunities and change. For these reasons, I like to think of every new season as a fresh start; an opportunity for you to revisit your goals and hit the reset button on your focus. It’s officially summer time, so let’s hit that reset button together and talk about a few cool ways to heat up your web business visibility and sales.

Summertime Website Sales Boosters

Generate Sales via a New Offer
Consider launching a new physical product, digital product or service. For example, this summer I launched my Monetize Your Blog series because blogging is an area many of my clients need help with. Can you create a list of at least three to five things that your clients need help with right now?

Generate Sales via a Seasonal Offer
Consider launching an offer that is only available in the summertime. For example, last summer I launched SistaSense Summer Sessions, which is an opportunity for ladies to sign up for 4 private clarity calls with me, so we can work on their business over the summer. I also re-opened the Fix My Site 5 Hour Service. I always have a few clients this time of you who need help upgrading their websites over the summer. Can you think of a seasonal offer you can create for your customers?

Generate Sales via an Early Bird Offer
Consider launching an early bird offer for an upcoming event or pre-order option for a soon to be released book. Every fall I host my Back to Business Webinar Conference, so this year I am offering a Summertime Super Early Bird Registration rate especially for those ladies who participate in this virtual each year. Think of one thing you plan on launching in the fall and consider creating a super early registration option now.

Generate Sales via a Fresh Offer
Consider promoting fresh offers that are not your own. It’s possible that right now you don’t have the funds, resources or time to create your own offers. It’s also possible that you’ve been promoting your offers to death and your list is ready to hear you talk about something new. Try your hand at promoting affiliate products that compliment your own products and services. This will allow you to change the conversation, recommend great offers to your community and potential generate revenue all at the same time. For example, I often times recommend the following affiliate programs to my mentees: eBates, iTunes, and Amazon Associates. As a matter of fact, while I develop new promotional projects around affiliate offers I am teaching ladies how to tap into smart passive income via my Monetize Your Blog Summer Mastermind. Beyond signing up to these programs, learning how to improve your affiliate marketing skills is a smart way to generate commissions and help supplement your sales.

Create Fresh Opportunities
Smart business owners know that their customers don’t simply want to be sold to all the time. A big part of effective promotions involves you creating great conversations, value and innovative opportunities that help to enhance the lives of the people you wish to serve. Beyond my services and training programs, I also offer opportunities for women entrepreneurs within my circle to network, promote their own businesses and share their expertise. For example, here I have a list of active Power Circle Conversations for the ladies within my circle. I also have a special page for Power Circle members to submit their own articles to be featured on SistaSense as guest blogger contributions. What kind of opportunities can you create for the people within your circle?

Summertime Website Visibility Boosters

Create a Summer Blogging Calendar
I truly believe an active blog helps to drive steady traffic to your website, but I honestly do not have time to blog every day. For this reason I developed my own blogging calendar and you can click here to learn how to create your own summer blogging calendar. Each quarter I devote a few days to writing and collecting great content that I can share on my blog. For example, last quarter I hosted a ‘Blogging Skills Mastermind’ in which I lead my Fire Starter Circle Mentees through a ‘100 Days of Blog Posts Challenge’. Many of the ladies, myself included, now have two to three months worth of blog content scheduled to post daily throughout the summer. I also highly recommend syncing your blog to your social media platforms for additional exposure. If you need help in this area, you can watch the video replays from my Blog Challenge, Mastermind and Social Media trainings all inside the new Monetize Your Blog series.

Create a Solid List Building Strategy For Your Blog
Website visibility starts with getting people to your space, but should they do when they get there? You want to make it as interesting, easy and simple as possible for people to opt-into your email list and socially share your content. I highly recommend SumoMe, as it includes a powerful suite of website traffic tools. I am currently using the SumoMe Welcome Mat and List Builder tools, which has helped me easily increase opt-ins. I also use and recommend, Sumo Share tools that make it easy for your blog readers to share your posts and images across social media. With the right tools, you might be just a few clicks away from creating a post that goes viral.

Create A New Opt-in Offer
It’s safe to say you will always get a few people who opt-into your list for the updates you share, but most people initially sign up to lists because there was an amazing free offer they wanted access to. Consider creating your first OR a new opt-in offer for the summer. For example, I recently launched my Monetize Your Blog Free Mini-Course and I’m amazed to see how many people have signed up already. Brainstorm a list of at least 5 possible opt in offers and pick one to work on for the summer. Inside my upcoming MYB Weekend Workshop, I will be teaching participants how to create their own audio eCourses. You are welcome to join us.

Create A New Video Series
When it comes to boosting your visibility online, I often times talk about the concept of helping customers find you. One way you can do that is by tapping into video marketing. For example, to compliment my new Monetize Your Blog solutions, I developed a 5 part series of short 2-5 minute videos to share online. If you are going to launch an offer these summer, consider creating your own series of videos around that offer.

Create a Facebook Marketing Strategy
Marketing on Facebook should be an integral part of your online marketing efforts. Is it? At the very least you should have a fan page for your brand (here is mine) and a private group for your community (here is mine). If you have these things, you can step up your Facebook Marketing game this summer with three simple strategies. First directly upload your videos onto Facebook instead of linking to Youtube Videos. Facebook likes organic content and they reward your efforts. I tested this theory and noticed this video, has received four times more views on Facebook than on twitter, which is huge! Second, be sure to pin your most important content at the top of your Facebook page or group; this content could be a view or even a new opt-in offer. Use it to highlight content that you want to gain the most exposure. My final recommendation is to make an effort to spark great conversations within your Facebook group at least 3-5 times a week. Happy members are active members who become more attentive when you most updates and proactively share your content with their friends. If you need help, you can find my Social Media Marketing and Sales courses inside the new Monetize Your Blog series.
