As I explained in the last SistaSense Circle weekly call, (you should join our calls BTW) one of our most important tasks as entrepreneurs is to plug the wholes in our businesses. These wholes, being areas that could use improvement. For example, fixing an outdated newsletter or improving your payment process.
When my web client, Brigitte Brown, realized her website ROI was a problem, she decided rebranding was the right solution. Our overall goal for this rebranding project was to create a clean, fresh, up-to-date, and socially shareable website that appealed to her target audience. For this project I worked on finding images that best reflected her target audience, transfering her blog from blogger (so it was completely integrated into the website design), adding social media plugins for twitter and facebook, making it easier for potential customers to use the site navigation, and making sure her brand image was consistent on both twitter and facebook. In a nutshell, I revamped the overall website design, the shop, the twitter page, the facebook page, and added a promotional video for additional branded exposure.
When you have high quality products like the Brown Olive Natural Skin Care collection, you always want your website to reflect the quality of your content. What does your website reflect? Is your website built using some of the latest web technology, wordpress upgrades, and/or theme designs. Is your blog hosted on your site and fully branded or are you still blogging from a free space like blogger or wordpress.com? Is your blog socially shareable? Do you use social plugins and a Facebook Fan page for your business? Do your images reflect your target audience? These are just some of the things you need to think about with respect to building a solid online presence for your business brand.
