[/membership] [membership level=”1,2,4,5,6,7,8,9″] Today’s monetize your blog challenge is to go beyond using your blog as a means to promote your products or services. Extend your reach by submitting your offerings to larger websites that get more traffic.

1. One of my coaching clients sells her gourmet cookies on overstock.com.
2. Many of my self-published peers sell their material on amazon and itunes for additional exposure.
3. When I started out as a service professional I would look for jobs and/or post services on classified websites like elance.com and fivver.com.
4. As a matter of fact, one of the reasons I created the BBWO Network was to foster a space online for women entrepreneurs to find services or promote services to those in need.
5. Also keep in mind that many small business owners and service professionals create how-to videos on youtube to extend their reach and attract the attention of potential customers looking for resources on youtube.

You don’t have to do all of this stuff every day, but using multiple platforms to share your material is a great way to extend you reach.

Are you familiar WooThemes.com. They’ve been successfully selling wordpress themes via their website for several years now and I recently discovered they have added their designs ThemeForest.com, a popular themes directory showcasing hundreds of different design companies.

Even though WooThemes has a large existing audience, they aren’t shying away from the opportunity to gain additional customers through other spaces. Follow their lead. Don’t get stuck in a rut simply trying to sell on you website along. Go out there and make yourself more visible that you already are!
