[/membership] [membership level=”1,2,4,5,6,7,8,9″] For additional passive income I often encourage bloggers to add Google Adsense to their website. Here are a few Adsense Do’s and Don’ts:

1. Do include at least 1 (at most 3) Adsense Campaign Blocks on Your Website. I’ve noticed those entrepreneurs that don’t make much from adsense either have low traffic, place their ads at the bottom of the pages or only show ads on the home page. Don’t do these things. Do make the most of the highly visible spot on your website including the top right of your header and the top of your sidebar.

2. Do place one large 728×90 Adsense block of code in the website Header and at least one 300×250 rectangular block of code in the sidebar

3. Do remember to name your ad campaigns and/or create unique ‘channels’ for each campaign. I use the channel feature to name the type of ad with the website I place it on. For example I created a channel called SistaSense728 for the 728×90 ad block on SistaSense so that I can see how much money / how many clicks that ad location generates. I do the same thing on BBWO, the channel BBWO300Footer, is used to track the ad block I created and placed in the footer of that website. You can call your channels whatever you like. You will see the option to create a new channel as you are setting up each new ad campaign.

4. Do NOT simple put your ad campaigns on your blog and pray for the money to magically come in. You have to work on getting people to regularly visit your site and consistently talk about your blog’s core topics to generate quality click- throughs on your space.
