As a black female web designer / graphic designer who is proud of all her melanin magic, a lot of my graphics feature beautiful Black Women Stock Photos & Images. I know firsthand that it’s not always easy to find a diverse collection of stock photos with a full range of black women in different settings or scenarios, so over the years, I’ve put together a series of digital guides that showcase some of the best free and budget-friendly stock photos of black women that I have found, especially from black photographers.

If you use the free version of Canva, I highly recommend upgrading to Canva Pro Here, so you can unlock an extensive collection of stock photos. And a quick tip, instead of searching for ‘black woman’, which sometimes gives me photos of white women in black or ‘black and white’ photos, I prefer to search for ‘African Woman’. One of my favorite keyword phrases to search for in Canva is ‘African Woman Computer.’ Another one that I frequently use when looking for diverse images of black women is, ‘African Woman smiling’.
