Your Profit + Your Potential: Have you missed your mark?

There are a million things that you can do at this very moment, but what should you be doing? With respect to your profit and your potential, today I want to talk about how you unblock your blessings by doing the things you know in your heart will make your life better.

The audio below continues my conversation, ‘Does being an entrepreneur feel like a chore? How to keep up when you feel like giving up…’ (audio replay here). I bring up this topic because it’s quite frankly been coming up in several conversations I’ve had this past week.

The idea here is that at some point in your life you have to choose to accomplish a goal OR put it off (either because you want to or because someone or something tells you to … hold off). But the thing is… the longer you hold off or put off the things you should be doing the hard it becomes to actually do them and tap into your true potential.

Case In Point. Here is something Robin shared with me after listening to the last ‘SistaSense on the Go Expisode‘:

What more is there to say? This was very inspirational as always! As for me, I needed to hear this because, for now, I’m a one person band. I get what you’re saying…If you want it, pull through, like driving through a tunnel, (tunnel vision) forge on.

You know in my youth I had certain skills. I could do hair and I would sew my own clothes. I never reached my full potential in that area, because of giving up and most importantly, listening to ignorant “grown folks”. Saying awe you don’t want to do hair. Do you know how much it cost now to get your cosmetologist license in NY these days? When Parsons design school started, it was made up of small classes! That would have been the right time to go, more attention. It’s a recognized school now.

My Mom always told me that I can do whatever I wanted to do, even drive a mac truck. But living away from home on my own, other people can get in your head until you realize that they aren’t doing any better than you. Ask what have they accomplished. Block out the negative, different people move at different pace, but that doesn’t mean that the swift has won the race.
