People Have to Buy What You Say Before They Will Buy What You Sell
Are you frustrated with your sales online? Are you struggling to figure out why those Tweets, Emails, or Facebook posts about your products are just not converting browsers into buyers? Before I answer this question, let me ask you two questions first. How many ads do you see daily? And how many of those ads do you ignore? The average person gets pitched to countless times every day and most of those pitches get ignored. The ones that get noticed and stand out among the white noise are usually from people and companies that we know, like and trust. Instead of spending all your time online trying to get people to buy what you are selling, work on campaigns that offer value to people’s lives. Go beyond the tile of ‘seller’ and start presenting yourself as an ‘expert, ‘giver’, ‘motivator’, ‘mentor’, ‘key influencer’. When people start to see you as a ‘go to person’ rather than a sleezy sales person, they will feel more inclined to purchase those things you are offering. Relationship building is crucial. Always remember, people have to buy what you say before they will by what you sell.
