[/membership] [membership level=”1,2,4,5,6,7,8,9″] Have you ever read my blog post, “Tweak vs Twitter?” It’s essentially about how I prefer to spend my time tweaking my site to make it better rather than tweeting or getting caught up in the next “social media hot spot.” I bring up this post today for one simple reason. While I can tell you 101 different ways to monetize you blog, the best thing you can do is to pick one thing and really work at it.

Case in point, I made a few dollars total over the first few months that I tried Google Adsense. But after I focused on figuring out how Adsense worked, I consistently started to make several hundred dollars and now Adsense is a steady source of passive income for me.

Whether your interest is in affiliate marketing, Adsense or any other ‘monetize your blog’ technique, your challenge today is to pick one thing and focus on making it better. Like tending to a garden of seedlings, give yourself the next 30 – 90 days to really master one monetization method, try different techniques focused on that method to boost sales and track the progress of your efforts.

I would recommend focusing on something you’ve already started, but if you are new to this process you can begin with one of the techniques I’ve  mentioned in my Monetize Your Blog 31 Day Challenge.

The big lesson to learn today is that all the lessons in the world can only make your life better when you start implementing what you’ve learned.

Starting a new project can be scary, but expanding on your area of expertise to tap into your full profit potential is definitely something I encourage the ladies in my circle to do.
