Challenge #5: Sticking to the Plan

To say the least, this past weekend was a sucky one. You ever have one of those days when you take care of all your expenses and then SOMETHING or SOMEONE just throws a curve ball in your happy little financial world? Sigh… well that was me and that’s just life.

As you know I’m doing the 100 Day Challenge and from time to time I post my progress and also try to motivate you to set your own goals for success. Anyway, thus far I’ve touched on 4 different challenges that entrepreneurs often face. The big one for today is: “Sticking to the Plan.”

When something goes wrong it’s easy to give up. When something goes right, its easy to become complacent. The hard thing to do is to be consistent and stick with your plan until you actualize the original vision, not the one you settle for or the one you feel you can’t control. Your job is to work towards the vision you planned for yourself. Not the one other people think you are worthy of or the one you always seem to get stuck with. If you challenge yourself to do better, always remember what you are fighting for.

Today on twitter I posted: @sistasense: Today’s Lesson Learned: When God Closes a Door, Somewhere He Opens a Window – http://vf3b7.tk

A few things went wrong this weekend but I already see a few new things going right. In spite of new unexpected expenses and delayed accomplishments, I am going to stick to the plan, reread the goals I set on the very first day of the 100 Day Challenge and keep going.

In her last newsletter, Richelle wrote: “This 100 Day Challenge is not about money but more about implementation, goal setting and making sure that I live each day to its fullest!” As my hubby always tells me, “you have to do the work now and the money will come.”

Funny enough, I tweeted this weekend @sistasense: Just finished updating the Mahogany Momma Magazine … well at least for today… nite all – http://c88un.tk. One of my Facebook friends said: “Your Working … on the weekend!” lol

I know it would be nice to say I’m this big time work at home momma who can do nothing all the time, but I can’t. If Beyonce is a multi-millionaire and she pushes herself to work 6 days a week, why would I expect to do any less? Again, it’s never going to be about the bad days and certainly can’t just be about the money. In my heart, and with tears in my eyes, I know it’s about the vision, the passion, the dreams that I hold inside to be a better person and create a better life for my family.

Are you strong enough to stick with your plan in spite of the challenges that life will undoubtedly bring? I hope and pray that you are. Sticking to the Plan. -lh
