During one of my daily Facebook Updates I discovered Black Girls CODE, a wonderful organization based in San Fransisco with a mission that truly touches my heart. BGC aims to increase the number of women of color in the digital space by empowering girls of color ages 7 to 17 to become innovators in STEM fields, leaders in their communities, and builders of their own futures through exposure to computer science and technology.

In today’s technology driven society young people in underprivileged areas can use all the support they can get, so I want you to join me in voting for Black Girls Code. These girls need your VOTE for a Chance to Win $50,000 from Bank of the West Philanthropy Awards. As I mentioned previously when I shared the upcoming Power Circle Conference Theme with you, there is “Strength in Numbers.” Outside of those things we do to support ourselves, our families, and our businesses we need to proactively extend a helping hand of support to our fellow women entrepreneurs committed to changing lives and making a difference in our communities.
