Three years, it’s been 3 years since I started self-publishing SistaSense In Print Magazine via the MagCloud platform. Now owned by Blurb.com, MagCloud is one of my favorite self-publishing web tools.
Beyond being able to fulfill a personal desire to see myself on the cover of a magazine “Oprah-Style”, MagCloud provides me with a low-cost print-on-demand solution to sharing my blog content with a larger audience. This has allowed me to create new products, increase sales, have tangible examples of my work to showcase at events, send personally branded magazine gifts to my clients and receive media recognition for annual events that I feature in the magazine like the BBWO50 list of Fabulous Women Entrepreneurs.
Consider how you can expand your brand with your own self published magazine. And keep in mind that you don’t have to create an issue every week or even every month. I publish SistaSense In Print on a bi-annual basis, just two issues a year, so you are free to produce and promote the number of issues that works best for you.
There are so many ways to increase your business brand exposure and profit potential with your own self-published magazine. In the video below photographer Jeanie M. shares how and why creating her own magazine has helped to attract more business. She recommends issuu.com, but I personally like magcloud.com because I can offer both print and digital versions of my magazine for sale.
What’s 12 Days of Favs? It is my spin on the 12 Days of Christmas (smile). For 12 days each December on SistaSense I share some of my favorite web business tools plus marketing and sales tips for online entrepreneurs.
