Professional Black Women Online

Professional Black Women have moved from the boardrooms to the chatrooms. Turning hobbies and side-hustles into small business ventures, many women entrepreneurs of color are flocking to the net for their piece of the web pie. They are creating websites, building blogs, and making connections everyday, becoming masters of the worlds they have created. In an effort to combine these worlds and build a stronger sense of community among women entrepreneurs, I created Black Business Women Online.

BBWO is my dream come true. It is a space where I, a black women online can finally connect with other successful, web savvy, motivated black women. Black Business Women Online is a premier social network for Professional Black Women. With almost 4,000 members and counting, BBWO is quickly becoming one of the most talked about web spots for Women of Color who are hoping to start a business, promote their business, share their blog, or find quality business services within the Black Business Community. This network is free to join and easy to use. Each member has their own page and blog. They can post video, audio, and photos. They can promote their business, ask questions, discuss black issues, and even create their own special interest groups.

On Black Business Women Online members are exchanging links and services. They are buying black products, supporting black businesses, and learning how to make their own businesses grow. BBWO members are talking about everything from social networking and internet marketing to self-publishing, black politics, and the life of a work at home mom. You can spend hours on BBWO going through the photo gallery or watching videos that showcase so many great products and services. Our Events page is always current, featuring an ongoing listing of local business events, book tours, tele-seminars, and more.

If you aren’t a member of BBWO, today is a great day to join. You never know how much one click can change your life. Visit this Black Social Network today: http://sistapreneurs.ning.com

Want to get featured on the BBWO Blogality Show?

The BBWO Blogality Show is an exclusive series on the Black Business Women Network. It is a blog reality show of sorts, starring 5 BBWO members who have agreed to weekly blog post their Startup Business Stories in the BBWO Blogs. The goal is to create an opportunity for real business women to share their stories of entrepreneurship in the hopes that we can collectively learn from each other and support their growing businesses.

The First Cycle of the BBWO Blogality Show was a huge success. From May 19, 2008 – June 22, 2008, these Web Savvy Business Women graciously shared their stories, tips, and tricks with you. Now it is your turn! If are interested in participating in the next cycle of the BBWO Blogality Show it is tentatively scheduled to start on July 16, 2008 only on Black Business Women Network.

Space is limited, there are 1 to 2 slots reserved for those who were previously approved but did not participate. The remaining 3 slots are open to BBWO members looking to share their stories, and gain exposure on BBWO. So, what do you have to do to apply? Send your business startup story to me, lhenry – BBWO founder. Let me know what your business is all about, and what types of stories or advice you would like to share in your featured BBWO blog. Send the details to lhenry@msoyonline.com, required email subject=’BBWO Blogality Show – Cycle 2′.

Each Blogality Show Participant agrees to commit to:
6 weeks with at least 4 blog updates per week. These blog posts will have to be either a description of something business orientated you are doing this week, a new resource you found, a customer experience worth sharing, something you learned, an interesting business related article, or a business site summary.

In exchange for participating each blogger is featured on BBWO for 6 weeks, their bios will be added to Successful Sista Profiles and they each recieve one free site submission to the Search Urban Directory on msoyonline.com.

Please note: I do not assume any rights over your posts nor do I or will I openly endorse any content which is posted on BBWO blogs other than my own. Each blogger is ultimately responsible for what she posts on her blog, as the readers are responsible for what they do with that information. This is simply an opportunity for us to share our experiences and learn from one another in a positive and supportive forum.

I think I can coin the term ‘Blogality Show’, I think so. Do you think so? LOL
