SistaSense Says Go Rock the Vote!

Yesterday my son’s bus driver said to me, “Did you all go vote?” I said, “Yes sir, we voted early last week!” This morning my aunt sent me a text message, “Did you vote yet?”. I said, “Yes maam, we did!” All across the country people are making it a point to encourage their friends and family to go out and rock the vote. I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t do the same. Make sure you vote today.

For me it felt good to take my lil CEO to the early voting site. It’s hard for him to say “Barack Obama,” but it’s too cute to hear him try. Knowing all that our people have done to fight for our right to vote, I feel proud that I am doing my duty as an American. I felt even prouder when my son looked at me and said, “He’s brown like me.” My response, “Yes, he is.” I believe he can, we can, our children can change the world.
