CREATE A SERIES
I recently designed CoutureQueen.net, a website/blog space for my web client, Doretta Johns who owns her own boutique. She specializes in finding beautiful dresses, shoes, and accessories for plus size women. Now that here website is done, it’s time to start building her blog content. Let’s say she picks one plus size designer that she works with and selects 4 dresses that she really likes from their fall collection and writes a review for each dress. She can then post one review each week for a month, showcasing the dresses as a “Favorite Fall Collection Series.” Think about a topic of interest that you can sit down and write about. Then take your extended piece and break it down into a series.

LOVE IT LISTS
Some times when I have the urge to post something great on my blog, but I don’t know what to write about, I pull from sources that I personally love to read. For example, on sistasense.com I regularly publish posts that showcase 3 great articles or forum discussions from 3 women on my social network, Black Business Women Online (www.mybbwo.com). These posts are easy to create because the content has already been written. When I create “Love It Lists” I am able to consistently share something new with my audience, support other women entrepreneurs, and showcase the great content people can find on BBWO. You don’t always have to search the corners of your brain and come up with something new, sometimes you can simply share a list of other people’s posts that you’ve read and love.

I have 3 more recommendations for you. To review them download the Blogs,Brands, Better Business issue of SistaSense In Print Magazine. Get it FREE this week only.
