What is fair? Is it fair for one person to make more than another? Is it fair that some people easily get the things others find almost impossible to receive? What controls our ability to get what we believe is fair and live the life we deserve? Is it astrology working its planetary magic? Is it solely God’s divine power? Looking at my own life, I’ve learned something about the idea of what is fair. Our lives will always be filled with unfair things, but the trick to life is to keep moving forward regardless.

“Fair, Fare, Fear: Three words that sound exactly the same, but are completely different.” -LaShanda Henry

What is fear? Why is success the one thing we all want, but are completely afraid of? Success, while desired is so difficult to obtain. Fear, on the other hand, has to be easy because too many people are unsuccessful. Contemplating what they believe is fair, desired, required and ultimately deserved; too many people waste their lives living in fear. They think, rethink and ultimately do nothing about those things they feel others deprived them of or life denied them of because they are afraid to act. Yearning for more while expecting less they hold onto fear like a child with a security blanket; dragging it around as their lives become dirty and worn out.

What is the fare? What is the price you pay when you spend your life doing nothing, but thinking about things that happened to you unfairly and/or living your life in fear? How much do you lose when difficult experiences paralyze you in a state of depression and indecision? Every time you find one negative reason not to try, change, build, or grow, you hold yourself back. It’s like putting your life in debt; taking away from the wealth you could have before you even obtain it.

Every person with a self-made success story had to work through struggle to get to triumph. Even though life isn’t always fair, you must always work through your fears because the fare, the price you pay to achieve success is sacrifice and perseverance.
