My 10 Tips to Social Networking Success Mentioned in the Interview

  1. Create a Personal Plan of Action
  2. Create a Great Profile Picture that reflects your brand.
  3. Outline the key parts of your social networking profile: Links, Images, Articles
  4. Keep your profile layout simple and professional.
  5. Join the top 5 professional social networking spaces: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Myspace, Youtube
  6. Select a list of at least 3-5 popular social networks in your niche
  7. Introduce yourself to the right people
  8. Participate in groups and form discussions related to your area of interest
  9. Proactively add videos, photos, and blog posts to cross promote your content
  10. Remember that social networking is about pleasing not profiting. Add value on social spaces first to build your credentials and people will remember you and buy from you when they are ready.
