New Weekend Workshops + Summer Close Out + NYC Flash Back

bbwo-wworkshops

Can we talk? This summer has been quite a ride! I just turned 30, went to NY for a month, got my Twitter Tips featured on Black Enterprise.com, bought a new car and BOY AM I Tired. Now that I’ve spent way too much time on me, I am ready to direct my focus back to you. How are things? Do you have a game plan for the last 6 months of 2010?

Folks keeping asking me about calls and consultations, so I know you probably have some questions. That is why I am starting BBWO Weekend Workshops: training webinars all about Driving More Business to Your Business, Selling eBooks the Right Way, improving your marketing and more. I’ve got an early bird special for those who signup first. For details visit http://workshops.mybbwo.com. I would love to know what you think about these new workshop webinars, so be sure to leave me a comment and feel free to suggest topics.

I am also doing a summer close out. With 6 months left in the year, I thought you OR one of your friends might like a little extra guidance to help figure all this stuff out. SO I am bringing back the Black Starter Kit Close Out. You can get it for $97 (because you are one of my favorite blog subscribers) and everybody else has to pay the full $197. Give it to a friend, if you don’t need it. There are only 17 Starter Kits available for this promo (just letting you know in case you procrastinate like me). Code: BBBSK97 | Click here to Download

Last BUT not Least. I wanted to share some photos from my very long business trip in NY. I might add some videos to my youtube channel later. More to come! lhenry | @sistasense

Taking Your First Step Toward Success

Yesterday I was having a mommy moment, looking at a video of Christopher from his first year. I was so eager to get him to say his first words and now those days seem like ages ago. He is quickly approaching 3 and what a chatterbox he has become! I say that to say, you might be taking your first steps towards building your own successful business online, but before you know it your business will be 3 years old and growing! If you are new to the online world and would like me to hold your hand through the beginning phase, consider taking my Startup Sista 30 Day eCourse.

Over the next few weeks I will be showcasing the progress of a few of my Startup Sistas to show you that you can do this! You can achieve your dream of success as long as your willing to try, so today I want you to take a quick look down memory lane. What have you learned this past year? How have you evolved in your internet marketing and social networking? Do you know a little more? Have you done a lot more than your giving yourself credit for? Take this time to right down your recent accomplishments both big and small. Maybe this way you can visually see that you have made strides towards your success story, even when it might feel like you haven’t.

Challenge #5: Sticking to the Plan

To say the least, this past weekend was a sucky one. You ever have one of those days when you take care of all your expenses and then SOMETHING or SOMEONE just throws a curve ball in your happy little financial world? Sigh… well that was me and that’s just life.

As you know I’m doing the 100 Day Challenge and from time to time I post my progress and also try to motivate you to set your own goals for success. Anyway, thus far I’ve touched on 4 different challenges that entrepreneurs often face. The big one for today is: “Sticking to the Plan.”

When something goes wrong it’s easy to give up. When something goes right, its easy to become complacent. The hard thing to do is to be consistent and stick with your plan until you actualize the original vision, not the one you settle for or the one you feel you can’t control. Your job is to work towards the vision you planned for yourself. Not the one other people think you are worthy of or the one you always seem to get stuck with. If you challenge yourself to do better, always remember what you are fighting for.

Today on twitter I posted: @sistasense: Today’s Lesson Learned: When God Closes a Door, Somewhere He Opens a Window – http://vf3b7.tk

A few things went wrong this weekend but I already see a few new things going right. In spite of new unexpected expenses and delayed accomplishments, I am going to stick to the plan, reread the goals I set on the very first day of the 100 Day Challenge and keep going.

In her last newsletter, Richelle wrote: “This 100 Day Challenge is not about money but more about implementation, goal setting and making sure that I live each day to its fullest!” As my hubby always tells me, “you have to do the work now and the money will come.”

Funny enough, I tweeted this weekend @sistasense: Just finished updating the Mahogany Momma Magazine … well at least for today… nite all – http://c88un.tk. One of my Facebook friends said: “Your Working … on the weekend!” lol

I know it would be nice to say I’m this big time work at home momma who can do nothing all the time, but I can’t. If Beyonce is a multi-millionaire and she pushes herself to work 6 days a week, why would I expect to do any less? Again, it’s never going to be about the bad days and certainly can’t just be about the money. In my heart, and with tears in my eyes, I know it’s about the vision, the passion, the dreams that I hold inside to be a better person and create a better life for my family.

Are you strong enough to stick with your plan in spite of the challenges that life will undoubtedly bring? I hope and pray that you are. Sticking to the Plan. -lh

Making $20,000 in 100 Days Starts Now

I contemplated starting my 100 Day Challenge of making $20,000 in 100 Days on September 5th, but I’ve decided to start today for several reasons. It just makes sense to start on September 1st and why put off tomorrow what you should be doing today! Richelle was actually the one who suggested I go for the $20,000 mark, and after cringing for a few minutes I actually fell in love with that number.

If you plan on following me throughout this challenge and perhaps even starting your own challenge then the first thing you’ve gotta do is pick your magic number! The next requirement is developing a plan of action. As I mentioned in a previous post my main focus is tapping into new passive streams of income. My two core projects are building my new affiliate program and doubling my Adsense revenue. After setting my financial goal and core products, I sat down and mapped out my action plan, which is basically a breakdown of how I plan on reaching my $20,000 mark with these two projects.

A BIG Part of that plan is mastering the art of pricing, which is why I just posted the article: How Much Should I Charge? Creating a Price Plan.

I’ll keep you posted on my progress and share tips along the way. Making $20,000 in 100 Days Starts Now! Wish me luck! One more thing… if you want to pick my brain and know how I’m currently able to successfully make money online selling my own stuff you should read my Plan to Profit Blueprint and get started with my 7 Day eCourse: How to Find Customers Online. My eBooks shop is: http://www.e-junkie.com/lhenry

For my go getters I’ve bundled all my eBooks into the Black Business Ultimate Marketing Guide which you can download here: http://socialmediasistas.com/black-business-ultimate-marketing-guide.php
