Are you ready to join Black Enterprise and the top Black Women in Business for the 6th Annual Women of Power Summit? Once again this event will be held at the beautiful Ritz Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes Orlando Florida from February 15-18 2012.

If you follow SistaSense.com you know that I had the pleasure of attending several Black Enterprise Networking events this year including the Woman of Power Summit and I highly recommend it.

Attending the 2011 Women of Power Summit was exactly what I needed. I started the year feeling a little drained and jaded, but when I got back home I felt blessed, de-stressed, and ready to dive into new things. This year’s theme is “Your Truth, Your Power”. Looking back I can honestly say that I enjoyed the networking, the sisterhood, and being in the midst of the amazing women honored at the Legacy Awards Dinner. 2012 award recipients include Brandeis Professor Anita Hill, Bridal Fashion House Founder/Designer Amsale Aberra, News Journalist/Anchor, Carol Simpson, Philanthropist, Rachel Robinson and singer and AIDS activist, Dionne Warwick.

Some of the workshop sessions include:
1. Managing Sabotage: How to fight the battles without losing the war.
2. The Anti-Social Executive: How to step out of your comfort zone for career advancement.
3. Risk Takers & Rule Breakers: How to be a game changer in your professional life.

Best of all, Black Enterprise has graciously provided me with a $200 off registration code that I can share with you. The code is AFL121 and the website is http://www.blackenterprise.com/events/women-of-power-summit/.

For my social media sistas you can follow the event updates via twitter @blackenterprise and if you definitely plan on attending join me on Facebook and let everyone know.

Attending networking events this year allowed me to gain new clients, generate exposure, reconnect with fellow women entrepreneurs / blogger friends and have the opportunity to travel, learn, and relax all at the same time.

For the networking newbies in my circle be sure to read the “BUILD YOUR BRAND ON A BUDGET” issue of SistaSense In Print Magazine which includes my 2011 Black Enterprise Entrepreneur’s Conference Recap and the article “How to Attend Networking Events on a Small Budget.”
