hey lashonda! nice article and good luck with your business. i just want to make a quick note coming from a professional web designer who has been in the business for the past 10+ years.
there is a big difference between a blog customization and a full fledged web designer.
traditional web designers would typically be fluent in css, xhtml, javascript and ajax.
and for designing custom blogs the game is quite different. you don’t need as much experience to get started.
being a true web designer is just a lot harder than people think. fun, but hard. i just want to make sure people understand the differences and make sure they are getting accurate information before they begin on their entrepreneurial journey.
