Social media should be part of your tool box not the entire thing. You have to do the basics first before social media will really matter. The chances of you through twitter posting what someone is looking for at the exact second they are looking for it is somewhere between slim and none. The traffic that converts is the traffic that the person hitting your site is searching for what you have to offer.
